Dates | September 24 (evening) until September 27, 2017
The first conference of the triannual ICOMP series was held in Rochester in 1977. Budapest already hosts ICOMP for the second time, after having been the venue of the conference in 1980. As professors Yamanouchi and Midorikawa have formulated the importance of the ICOMP series recently, "This conference series has been essential in deepening of our understanding of multiphoton phenomena. Indeed, it is no exaggeration to say that the scientific basis of intense laser science in recent years has been established through the exchanges of ideas fostered by the ICOMP conferences." In 2017, ICOMP has the honour of welcoming Prof. Ferenc Krausz and Prof. Paul Corkum as keynote speakers, two of the founding fathers of attosecond science. The conference will be opened by Prof. Norbert Kroó, chair of the second ICOMP in 1980.

Access
By air: Budapest Liszt Ferenc Airport (BUD) is well served by several airlines. Once at the airport, you can take a taxi at one of the taxi booths right outside both terminal buildings. We recommend that you avoid drivers soliciting taxi rides in the terminal building occasionally. Alternatively, minibus shuttles are available with booths inside the terminal buildings. Public transport is by bus line 200E taking you to the underground terminus of M3. Take a train until "Kálvin tér", then change to M4 (direction "Kelenföld") and get off at "Móricz Zsigmond körtér". Hotel Flamenco is 7 minutes walk from there.
By train: If you take a train from Vienna, get off at Kelenföld station which is also underground terminus for M4. A short ride with M4 takes you to "Móricz Zsigmond körtér". From there you can reach the hotel with a short walk. All the other stations in Budapest are also connected to the underground network.
By car: Hotel Flamenco is very close to the endpoint of the M1-M7 motorways. The hotel lies within a parking zone, however, its roof garage is accessible for both hotel guests and visitors. Please contact the hotel directly for reserving a parking lot.
