We are pleased to announce that the Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter (JPCM) has agreed to publish a Special (topical) Issue on Reverse Monte Carlo modelling to coincide with our RMC-4 Workshop. We are therefore inviting original research manuscripts in the general areas covered by the workshop for potential inclusion in this special issue. Manuscripts will be considered from all, not just from workshop speakers. Further details about the specific submission procedure will be given on these pages in due course, including firm submission deadlines.
Information on uploading manuscripts is available by David Keen.
JPCM has issued the following guidelines for Special Issues:
(a) JPCM is no longer taking on the publishing of proceedings. They do, however, publish selected invited talks from conferences and workshops. The emphasis of the title of the issues will now be on the topic rather than the fact that they are proceedings. They also encourage papers from the same topic from authors who did not attend the conference.
(b) Refereeing: the peer-review process for all special issues is now carried out from the office in Bristol. This is so they can ensure uniform high standards across the entire journal.
(c) Content of articles: special issue articles must contain significant new and original physics. They will be refereed to the same standards as regular articles.
